I know what y’all thinking. You’ve just pledged the the King of All Scum and Villainy in the Galaxy (that’s Archon Delaine, just in case it wasn’t clear) and you’re feeling a little lost and lonely. You’re not entirely sure where you fit in to the tidal wave of crime sweeping across the Bubble. You’re wondering where you might find a group of like minded players who love nothing more than joining you in a great game of “Smash the Imp Scum”. But you’ve seen the sheer size of some of the Kumo Crew Grand Fleets and are feeling that you might be a little lost, that your voice might not be heard, or maybe just a tad overwhelmed. You want a small, intimate, bunch of scurvy scoundrels. Ruthless yet extremely friendly, loyal yet easy going, stoic yet totally insane.
Curious? You’d be an utter fool not to be.
It’s time you checked out the Yomar Consortium!

Named after the commander who formed and initially led our small but cosy group the Yomar Consortium is a collection of business owners. And the reason you probably haven’t heard of any of these businesses is that they are all illicit ones. We deal in piracy, theft, assassinations, sabotage, settlement raiding and especially smuggling, and all for the greater good of spreading freedom from the oppressive regimes of the other powers. Some of our business owners are involved in the liberation of maltreated imperial slaves and introducing them to a far less severe life. They are better fed, have far more recreation time, and are worked much less intensively than under the Imperial system, especially the children!

I have been a member for a couple of months now. I was a little unsure, at first, whether I wanted to be part of a squadron at all, having been put off a little by the sheer size of some of them. Yet I was pleasantly surprised at the relatively small size and just how welcoming, helpful and accommodating everyone has been. As well as the added immersion of now having an invested interest in the squadron’s BGS endeavours, we are also given squadron specific duties (if we fancy engaging with them) with which to affect the powerplay fortunes of the Kumo Crew. Having this structure I found most helpful to direct an otherwise seemingly overwhelming set of objectives. I’m also never unsure of what I need to do or even how it might be best to go about it as clear and concise guides are always provided.
Being part of the Yomar Consortium has given me a meaning, immersion and urgency to my gameplay that I have lacked for a long time.
And that’s not all!

The Consortium regularly organises races, both with SRVs and ships, where we can all meet up and generally mess about and have a fun time. There are even, occasionally, short exploration expeditions where we are taken to some of the most sunning nearby stellar phenomena. It is also worth mentioning expeditions are being discussed for trips much farther afield. If this sort of thing might interest you, I’d strongly advise you to join up.

If role-play is your thing then this is where the Consortium especially has you covered. Have you ever dreamed of owning and running your own criminal organisation? As I have stated before, The Consortium is an amalgamation of several such illicit practices and, if you rise high enough in the ranks, you could be handed the reigns of an illegal industry of your very own!

So, come and say hello! You will find us very inclusive and welcoming whatever your persuasion. If you decide to join you will not be held to work exclusively for the Consortium and can come and go as you please. I am currently away on a little expedition of my own but already I am looking forward to heading back home to partake in group settlement raids, races, combat zones, smuggling (lots and lots of smuggling, one of my favourite things to do in game) and, well, anything else I fancy doing, only with friends, with more immersion and agency than ever before!
The squadron’s Inara can be found here and the discord server here...
We eagerly look forward to seeing you!
